12th June 2004 Kite surfing: borth golf car park Wind Direction: nw Wind Stength: 12/20ish Surf / Sea State: super waves Air Temperature: got warmer Sea Temperature: warmfor uk Weather: cloudy.later sunshine Max Speed: Distance Covered: oh yeah what a day! wind a bit up and downy at times using 3 kites at various times + some long walks up to the flat pools by the estuary; (sorry Leo) but they are great when the wind blows! what an early start though; but as they say the early bird catches the worms.Al always manages to be out first though, mind you he doesnt have to put the 125 miles on the clock to get to the beach. just a great day had by all and good to see lots of peeps out on the water and on the beach. Al ,Dereck and myself even squeezing in a short sesh in the evening,eventually getting off the beach after 8.a quick shower in the van and dicovered a great new meal: one can of tescos beef madras and serve it with spag and a bottle of the best S.A. white ,what a dish!oh then catch the bed as it comes round. sunday thank goodness less enegetic ;ie no wind and VERY stiff legs.tried a bit of spinning in the estuary earlier but with no luck,the only fish i came into contact with was a dead dog fish on the beach.never mind the wind picked up slightly and had a good run around on the mountain board and cought up on the tan!! brown boy indeed!!!!! |
